May Newsletter

We have put the finishing touches on our latest newsletter, and posted it online for your collection.

The May issue has three features; one each on people, birds and plants!

  • The people feature: Parks Rangers and management plans. Christine talks with Alf about what Rangers do.
  • Bird Feature: Nuthatches and their distinctive behaviour.
  • Plant Feature: Cow Parsley, a favourite Spring wildflower.

There’s also a report on the April 6 Wildlife Walk.

Speaking of walks, here’s the schedule for the next three:
Meet at Highbury Park car park for these two:

  • Friday walk: 3rd May, 1 p.m.
  • Saturday walk: 1 June, 7 p.m. We’ll be looking for signs of night time activity such as bats emerging from their roosts and the evening chorus.

We’ve also got anew addition to our round of walks: Walking as Meditation.

  • Sunday 16th June, 9.30 a.m. – 11.30 a.m.
  • Meet next to the big notice board at the car park.

See the newsletter for more details on all!

See you in the park!
David, Christine, and the HPF newsletter contributors.
