Spring Foraging

Sunday’s foraging walk went very nicely. Alys Fowler led a group of 18 people through various parts of the park, collecting nettle, sorrel, and other herbs whilst also noting the edibility of bulrush, knotweed, dandelion and other plants.

At walk’s end, we sampled a tasty nettle risotto made by Birgit Kehrer, whilst enjoying some sunshine and the newly-exposed brick floor of the old Chamberlain barn.
